Flash Point

The flash point of a liquid or substance is the temperature at which sufficient vapour is given off to form a flammable mixture with air that can be ignited by a source of ignition. If enough energy is released into this flammable mixture, it will ignite. For example. Kerosene has a flashpoint of 38°C.
